My husband was planning on deep frying a turkey for Thanksgiving. He was looking for a pair of these type gloves, but everything he saw in the store were too small. I read a comment from someone else who disliked these gloves saying they were too big. I thought that may be just what my husband was looking for. Ordered the gloves and he loves them. Also liked the fact that the gloves are not specifically left or right hand. They grip on both sides of the glove. We had 15 people over for thanksgiving and everyone commented on how great these gloves were. A great buy!

These gloves are an alternative to the bulky standard mitts traditionally worn for handling hot oven and stove items. They feature grip surfaces that exceed the grip of the old mitts. The long cuffs help to protect wrists better than regular mitts.

I have oven mitts that are 10 years old that have survived daily use. Two years ago we purchased a pair of these gloves and fell in love with them. However, after two years of regular use, they are starting to transfer heat quickly to our fingers, especially at the edges. They'll probably last another year or so before they become dangerous... maybe less.

But, I probably will buy another pair, because they are so much nicer for handling heavy, awkward dishes in and out of the ovens.
